Gone stumpin'!

Adam, and the whole crew.

Hey, I'm Adam

I run Gone Stumpin' myself, start to finish. I was a Force Recon Marine, and I retired out of the Marine Corps. This business is simple on purpose: one operator, one grinder, and a firm price agreed before any work starts.

We open in January 2027. Until then, the spring list is the whole game: get on it and your stumps are first in line when grinding starts.

What we do

One thing, done properly: the stump goes away, the yard gets back to being a yard.

Grind it below grade

The stump is ground down below ground level, deep enough to seed, sod, or plant right over the spot.

Chase the surface roots

Roots radiating out from the stump get ground too, so the mower stops bouncing and the ankles stop rolling.

Mulch stays with you

The mulch stays with you, raked back into the hole, spread out, or piled where you point. It settles in as fill and ground cover. We grind, we do not haul.

The job, start to finish

It is not glamorous work, and that is the point. Adam shows up, the grinder comes off the trailer, and the stump that has been catching your mower and your eye for years is mulch by the time he leaves.

Below grade, roots chased, mulch raked neat. The spot is ready for seed, sod, or whatever you had planned for it all along.

That's the job. Mulch flying.

How pricing works

No printed prices, because no two stumps are the same stump. Instead, a method you can hold us to:

1

Send a photo and a rough size

Join the list, and when we reply by email, send a photo with something in it for scale.

2

Get a free estimate by email

We work from your photo and your notes and put the estimate in writing.

3

Firm price before the wheel spins

The number we agree on in writing is the number. No surprise add-ons after the fact.

Meet Stanley

This is Stanley. He has heard the grinder start up one too many times. Every stump in Bedford County makes that face eventually. Tap him, he does not mind. Much.

Where we grind

The main towns have their own pages, with the local details. The route covers a lot more ground than the pages do.

North of Bedford, west toward the Peaks, between Bedford and the lake, or anywhere in between: if you are within about 45 minutes of Bedford, ask. Those pages are where the details live, not where the driving stops.
